For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Jesus Is The Word!

One of the problems I see among Christians today is that they, like the Israelites want to listen to a man instead of God.  They sit and listen to a message and take it at face value without taking the time to find out what the Word of God really says and spend time with God themselves and basically say, so and so said it I believe it.

I am here to say do not take anything that I say or have said at face value.  Spend time for yourself in the Word and let the Holy Spirit guide you to the truths that have been revealed.  God wants to have a personal relationship with you, He loves you and when you read, pray, and study His Word, know that Jesus is the Word!  Not only will you come to more of an understanding, your relationship with God will blossom into what it was meant to be.  Let’s turn to 1 John 1:1…

John 1:1-3 (Amplified)

1 IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
2 He was present originally with God.
3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

Taking this into consideration that Jesus is the Word to me means that when we read the Word we are to read it from the perspective of God’s love for us while seeing Jesus in everything that we read.  When it pertains to the New Covenant all scripture must conclude in no condemnation.

Romans 8:1 (American Standard Version)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

When reading the Old Testament look for Jesus in what you read, for example the story of Joseph, the story of Joshua, the exodus of the Israelites form Egypt, always look for the types and shadows of Jesus.  When reading the Four Gospels remember that until after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus this is still during Old Testament times.  Also when reading the Bible especially the New Testament always take into consideration who it is written to.  Allow the message of Jesus Christ to produce in your life.  Jesus is God’s word about your life.

God wants to have a relationship with you personally, He loves you and sent His son to die for you.  Make use of the finished work of Jesus.  When ever you hear something always research even to the Greek and Hebrew to see what God wants you to know.  Always remember that the translators from time to time added to the word thinking that God said this but really meant this and they were wrong.

I will close with this; Take time to read the Word of God for yourself, enjoy His love letters to you.  Live under the influence of Jesus and read the Word from the perspective of God’s love.

God loves you and you are Blessed!
