Choose Life!

I bring Grace and Peace to each one of you in the name of Jesus the Savior of the world!

I was asked a question about Judgment Day that went like this… so my mom asked me ...if God has forgiven us then why will "it" (our sins) be brought back up? and here is the answer….

I am going to do my best to help answer a subject that comes up a lot among Christians today because of some teachings taught in a manner to cause confusion.  We all know that satan is the author of confusion.  Because of this I am going to back-up what I am saying with the Word of God.

When Jesus died on the cross He took on all of the sin in the world past, present, and future. In Romans 3:23 you will find - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - because of this what has to be realized is that EVERYONE has been forgiven of all sin past present and future. All that God requires is that you BELIEVE.

John 3:16
16For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9&10
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Because of God’s Grace, once you believe, you are redeemed and because of the blood of Jesus when God looks at you he will first see Jesus, spotless, blameless, and perfect. LIFE is what GOD sees.

Hebrews 10:17
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

When it comes to the Judgment Day that the question pertains to I will tell you this:

Revelation 20:11-15
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

In verse 12 it states that the dead will stand before God, those who believe will be found in the book of LIFE.  As a believer you will not be standing before God you will be standing with Him.  So the answer is no, you will not have to answer for your sins, Jesus already did that on the cross so you would not have to, and because you believe in Jesus, God does not remember your sin no more!

Romans 8:1
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,

I hope that this helps, basically tell your Mom that for those who believe, you are forgiven and God will not bring it back up, that God continually shows us Favor, and that He loves her, sent His Son to die for her that she would have LIFE Eternally with Him.

BELIEVE

To keep it simple the only thing God really requires is for us to believe...

In Joshua 1: 9 God says - Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

In John 14:27 Jesus says - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. This is from the true Creek... the remainder of the verse found in the Bible was added by the translators.

Condemnation is the root cause of the symptoms of "the curse" manifesting in the life of a believer. That is why you need to know that at the cross, God took all your sins, sickness, and poverty, "the curse" put them on Jesus and unleashed the full fury of His wrath against them until Jesus cried out, “It is finished!”

In short when the devil tries to make you feel defeated just remember God's grace is with you and that he loves you, believe in his Son Jesus who became a sacrifice for you, let not your heart be troubled and live in victory and remind the devil that Jesus paid it all!

Remember that when Jesus said "my peace" he spoke the Hebrew word Shalom which means Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.

God loves you... Shalom!
